Chhattisgarh High Court Rules Against Maintenance Plea Citing Wife's Adultery

Chhattisgarh High Court (HC) denied maintenance to a woman citing her adulterous relationship with her husband's brother. The HC ruling came during the hearing of two criminal revision petitions challenging a family court's order for the husband to pay Rs 4,000 monthly maintenance to his wife. The husband had sought complete annulment, while the wife demanded an increase to Rs 20,000.
