IMD Issues 'Yellow' Alert for Several Parts of Maharashtra, Including Mumbai

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) recently issued a 'yellow' alert for various parts of Maharashtra, inclusive of Mumbai, for the upcoming days from May 19 to 23. The IMD's 'District Forecast and Warning for the Next Five Days' mentioned an 'orange' alert for specific districts in Konkan, Marathwada, north Maharashtra, and western Maharashtra, including ghat sections, on certain days. The 'yellow' alert covers Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, and Dhule districts for the entire five-day period, while other districts have varying alert durations ranging from one to four days.
