The 29th edition of the Parampara Series kicked off with a grand celebration of India’s rich performing arts at Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi. Organised by Natya Tarangini from October 8 to 10, this much-loved festival brought together legendary maestros and shining new talents for three days packed with vibrant music, dance, and deep respect for tradition. The evening’s special highlight was a stunning Kuchipudi dance performance by the Raja Radha Reddy Repertory. The grand event was graced by Shri Pabitra Margherita, Minister of State for External Affairs, as the Chief Guest. The festival also saw the presence of important guests like Vice Chairman Vishali Jain, Shri Jayant Chaudhary (Minister of Skill Development), MP Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Neelam Pratap Rudy, and Charu Singh. The festival’s lineup read like a who’s who of Indian classical arts. Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar mesmerized the crowd with soulful Hindustani vocals. The rhythm section came alive with a thrilling Mridangam–Tabla jugalbandi by Satish Kumar Patri and Satyajit Talwalkar. Rahul Acharya's Odissi recital was both precise and poetic. Popular violin duo Ganesh and Kumaresh filled the auditorium with enchanting melodies, while Shijit and Parvati’s Bharatanatyam presentation added grace to the festival. Founded in 1976 by the legendary dancing couple Padma Bhushans Drs. Raja Radha Reddy and Kaushalya Reddy, Natya Tarangini is a premier arts institution committed to preserving and enhancing Indian classical traditions for nearly five decades. The Parampara Series – National and International Festival of Dance and Music – perfectly reflects this vision.
