Get ready, Bihar's political drama is heating up! On October 18, 2025, Union Minister Chirag Paswan met Home Minister Amit Shah in Patna to talk about the big battle ahead—the Bihar Legislative Assembly elections. Paswan, leader of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), showered thanks on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) and the BJP. Why? Because they showed a “big heart” by including smaller NDA allies like his LJP into the seat-sharing plan. Imagine that, LJP snagged 29 seats despite not having a single MLA in the last Assembly! That’s a clever political play. He said, “We were not fighting for a particular number of seats as such. We only wanted to contest from those places where we had a strong presence. I am thankful to the BJP and the JD(U). Both have shown a big heart in the NDA seat-sharing arrangement.” Here’s the seat split: BJP and JD(U) get 101 seats each, while Rashtriya Lok Morcha led by Upendra Kushwaha and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) led by Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi each bag six seats. What a colorful mix! Paswan didn’t stop there. He took a swipe at the opposition INDIA bloc, aka the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar. According to him, their partners are busy fighting among themselves. “There is so much infighting among the Opposition alliance partners. There is no clarity on whether Tejashwi Yadav is the face or not. Candidates of the RJD, Congress and the Left are going to fight against each other,” he said. But the NDA camp is all smiles. Paswan confidently told the media, “The NDA is all set for a historic victory under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.” Bold words! Mark your calendars! Bihar’s 243-member Assembly elections will be held in two exciting phases on November 6 and 11. The grand vote count will follow on November 14. The political spices are sizzling, and the wait is on for the election fireworks!
