India Urges Turkey to Stop Supporting Pakistan's Cross-Border Terrorism

In a recent development, India has sternly communicated to Turkey its concerns over Turkey's support for Pakistan, urging Ankara to influence Pakistan to address the issue of cross-border terrorism emanating from its territory. India has emphasized the importance of credible and verifiable actions by Pakistan to combat the terror networks it has harbored for years. The relationship between India and Turkey has faced challenges following Ankara's backing of Pakistan after a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. India underlined that mutual respect and understanding of each other's concerns form the foundation of bilateral ties. The usage of 300-400 drones supplied by Turkey in Pakistan's military provocations against India has further strained relations. Turkey's solidarity with Pakistan during India's counterterrorism actions, coupled with its historical support for Pakistan's incursion into Indian territory in Jammu and Kashmir, has fueled tensions. Calls for boycotting Turkish goods and services in India have grown amidst the escalating diplomatic fallout, with citizens advocating for shunning Turkish products and tourism, and filmmakers being urged to avoid shooting in Turkey.
