October 25, 2025

Get ready for a thrilling tale of friendship and innovation! The France India Foundation (FIF) recently wrapped up its dazzling third edition of the Young Leaders Programme, where 35 vibrant young leaders from India and France came together in the bustling cities of New Delhi and Mumbai from October 9 to 12. This programme isn’t just any meet-up—it’s a power-packed journey of ideas and inspiration. Selected through a tough process, these leaders shine in fields like business, startups, culture, and public administration. Among the stars were Ghazal Alagh, Co-Founder of Honasa Consumer Ltd, and Shashwat Goenka, Vice-Chairperson of RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group. From France came Claire Mérouze, France's very first woman Rafale fighter pilot, and Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoal, CEO of Château Angelus Wines. What a line-up! The theme, “Innovation and Leadership in a Changing World,” came alive as the young trailblazers dived into dynamic talks, brilliant ideas, and exclusive visits. Imagine walking through the grand Rashtrapati Bhawan and sparking conversations with N. Chandrasekharan, Tata Sons Chairman! The sessions covered hot topics like Artificial Intelligence, bold leadership moves, cultural diplomacy, and the adventurous journeys of startups. The excitement didn’t stop there. The French Ambassador to India, Thierry Mathou, hosted a grand dinner party where the young leaders mingled with notable figures including Shashi Tharoor, the charismatic Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on External Affairs. Such moments truly spark new friendships and collaborations! Adding another feather in its cap, the France India Foundation launched an AI Initiative to contribute to the much-anticipated AI Impact Summit slated for February 2026 in New Delhi. This fresh venture promises to strengthen ties by embracing cutting-edge technology. The France India Foundation, a nonprofit powerhouse, builds bridges between these two vibrant nations with programmes like this, nurturing dialogue, networking, and meaningful partnerships. As part of the larger France-Asia Foundation network, which includes ties with China and Japan, FIF stands strong in weaving a vibrant tapestry of international cooperation. What a masaledar mix of brains, ambition, and fun bridging continents!
