October 28, 2025

Get ready for a digital upgrade! IIIT Naya Raipur is turning heads by launching a brand-new specialisation called Process Mining under the Chief Minister IT Fellowship program. This tech gem dives deep into real work processes by studying data, sniffing out delays, waste, and roadblocks. The goal? To make government work faster, smoother, and crystal clear. This isn’t just a local idea — countries like Germany, the Netherlands, France, and Italy are already rocking Process Mining in both government offices and big businesses. IIIT Naya Raipur wants to ride this global wave and use Process Mining to power data-driven decisions, AI magic, and sharpen processes across state departments in Chhattisgarh. Between October 22 and 26, the campus buzzed with excitement during a five-day faculty development program on Digital Transformation with Process Mining. Teachers and research scholars from Computer Science, Business Informatics, and Mathematics joined in. They got hands-on with live demonstrations and rubbed shoulders with experts including IIIT Naya Raipur Director Professor O P Vyas, who also leads the Indo-German Process Intelligence Research Group. Other stars included Dr J C Bose from Skan AI, Bangalore, and Dr Nachiket Tapas of Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University, Bhilai. They explained how Process Mining can be a secret weapon for governments chasing better efficiency and clear accountability in a digital world. Professor Vyas said, "The initiative underscores the importance of blending data, artificial intelligence, and process science to cultivate a smarter, more responsive administrative ecosystem." He also mentioned IIIT Naya Raipur is quickly becoming a national front-runner in process-centred innovation. The institute is building a powerful bridge that connects academia, industry, and government like never before. So, watch this space! The future of digital governance is getting a bold new heartbeat right here in Chhattisgarh.
