Bihar Assembly Polls Heat Up! Leaders Gear Up Post-Chhath Puja for Election Battle

October 29, 2025

As the bright lamps of Chhath Puja dim, Bihar’s political arena is lighting up with election fever! The campaigning for Bihar Assembly polls has kicked into high gear after the festive pause. Festivals like Diwali, Govardhan Puja, and Chhath slowed down the momentum, but now the race is on full throttle. The stakes are high as the polls will be held in two phases — November 6 for 121 seats and November 11 for 122 seats. The main battle lines are drawn between the ruling NDA and the opposition Mahagathbandhan, which includes the RJD, Congress, and Left parties. Tejashwi Yadav, the star campaigner and face of the Mahagathbandhan, is on a whirlwind tour. According to his schedule, on Tuesday alone, he energized crowds in six Assembly seats in the Saran region — Manjhi, Taraiya, Madhaura, Amnaur, Parsa, and Garakha. RJD spokesperson Mritunjay Tewari revealed, "The election campaign for the first phase, which will cover 121 Assembly seats, will end on November 4. So, Tejashwi, who is in high demand for campaigning in all the Assembly constituencies, is set to touch 121 Assembly seats before the end of the election campaign for the first phase." Meanwhile, the NDA is sharpening its weapons. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar stirred the crowds with a rally in Gaighat, Muzaffarpur. His ally, RLM president and former Union minister Upendra Kushwaha, held meetings in Bhojpur and Buxar districts to rally support. Big guns are ready to shake Bihar on October 29! Home Minister Amit Shah will energize voters in Darbhanga, Samastipur, and Begusarai. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will hold powerful meetings in Hayaghat (Darbhanga), Barh (Patna), and Phakuliya (Chapara). Chief Ministers Yogi Adityanath, Rekha Gupta, and Mohan Yadav are all set to campaign in multiple districts on the same day. Yogi will cover Siwan, Bhojpur, and Buxar; Rekha Gupta plans rallies in Muzaffarpur and Patna; Mohan Yadav will campaign in Banka, Bhagalpur, and Madhepura. The big boss, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is expected to hold major public meetings in Muzaffarpur and Chhapra on October 30, wrapping the campaigning with a thunderous note. With every rally and meeting, the battle for Bihar’s Assembly seats grows wilder and more thrilling. Will the ruling NDA keep its hold, or will Tejashwi Yadav’s Mahagathbandhan sweep the state? The election countdown is on, and Bihar’s vibrant democracy is ready for the fireworks!
