Union Home Minister Amit Shah fired a strong warning to the people of Bihar as the elections approach. He said the dangerous 'jungle raj' would come back if the RJD party wins power again. Shah pointed fingers at Sadhu Yadav, the powerful brother of former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, as a perfect example of this chaos. Shah was set to attend an election rally in Gopalganj district but bad weather stopped him. Still, he spoke live online and told the crowd, "This election is an opportunity to decide who should be entrusted with the future of Bihar. On the one hand are those who had ushered in 'jungle raj'. On the other hand is the duo of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CM Nitish Kumar, who have brought development." He shared that the people of Gopalganj have never voted for RJD since 2002 and that he was confident they would stick to that tradition. Shah reminded the voters, "Nobody knows the misdeeds (kaarnaame) of Sadhu Yadav better than the people of Gopalganj." Sadhu Yadav once had enormous power in Bihar politics, serving as MLA and MP from Gopalganj when his sister Rabri Devi was CM. One bad episode Shah recalled was how Yadav forcefully drove cars away from a showroom during the 1999 wedding of Rabri’s daughter Misa Bharti. PM Modi had also hinted at this incident at a recent rally. Another dark chapter linked with Yadav was the 1999 murder of Shilpi Gautam, a case that stirred controversy again when political allegations emerged this year. Shah also talked about gruesome massacres in villages of central Bihar during RJD rule, when violent battles between illegal Naxal groups and upper-caste landlord militias raged across many districts. At the rally, Shah praised the ruling NDA’s promises from their recent manifesto. “There are two major things in the manifesto -- one for farmers and one for women, that I want to reiterate,” he said. "Recently, Nitish Kumar and PM Modi have deposited Rs 10,000 into the accounts of 1.41 crore 'Jeevika Didis'. They will send up to 2 lakh to all Jeevika Didi in different ways. Second, we give Rs 6,000 per year to 27 lakh farmers of Bihar. Now, we will add Rs 3,000 to this and give Rs 9,000." Shah also promised a sweet boost for the state’s sugar industry, saying, "All the sugar mills in the state will be reopened in the next five years." With moonshot promises and sharp warnings, Shah's message was loud and clear: Bihar's future lies in the hands of Modi and Nitish—not the ghosts of the past.
