On Sunday, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) thrilled space fans by launching its heaviest-ever satellite, CMS-3 (GSAT-7R), aboard the LVM3-M5 rocket. The Hyderabad-based Ananth Technologies played a star role behind the scenes, providing crucial parts that powered the satellite's success. Subba Rao Pavuluri, Chairman of Ananth Technologies Pvt. Ltd (ATL), shared exciting details: “We supplied control electronics modules, navigation and guidance systems, electro-mechanical actuator systems, and avionics power supply modules to the heaviest satellite that ISRO launched so far.” Talk about high-tech muscle! The company has two key facilities: one in Bengaluru where they build full satellites, and another in Thiruvananthapuram dedicated to crafting, assembling, and testing parts for satellites and launch vehicles. So far, Ananth Technologies has contributed to an impressive 107 satellites and 87 launch vehicles, proving their crucial role in India's space journey. CMS-3 itself is a high-throughput communication satellite designed like a tech wizard. It beams seamless telecommunication, television broadcasting, and broadband services right across India’s mainland and islands. Built on ISRO’s trusted I-3K satellite bus, this multi-band satellite operates in various frequency bands, ensuring rock-solid connectivity and better bandwidth for everyone — from everyday civilians to strategic users. With CMS-3 rising high and Ananth Technologies powering its heart, India’s space adventure just got a dazzling new chapter!
