BENGALURU: In a shocking crime late Friday night, a 35-year-old woman named Renuka was stabbed to death by her alleged lover near Pillanna Garden. Renuka, a hard-working divorcee employed as a domestic help, was attacked around 9:30 pm while walking near BBMP High School. The accused, Ambedkar alias Kutti, 50, who runs a printing press, confronted Renuka on the road, police said. In a brutal fight, Kutti stabbed her in the chest and abdomen. When Renuka tried to defend herself, he also stabbed her hands. Police confirmed she suffered at least eight knife wounds. Despite her severe injuries, brave Renuka managed to walk about 110 meters to Periyar Nagar circle. There, kind passersby rushed her to Dr Ambedkar Hospital. Sadly, she passed away at the hospital. Kadugondanahalli police have registered a murder case after receiving a complaint from Renuka's sister. The sister revealed that Renuka had been harassed by Kutti. Renuka lived with her mother and her 11-year-old daughter. On Saturday, police caught Kutti. He admitted to being in a relationship with Renuka. Police also seized the knife used in the attack. Kutti is married and has no children. This tragic case highlights the dark side when love goes wrong and turns deadly in the bustling city streets of Bengaluru.
