Sudhanshu Trivedi Urges India to Break Free From Colonial Mindset and Boost Self-Reliance by 2047
November 27, 2025
Lucknow witnessed an inspiring gathering as BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi fired up professionals at the Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan event. Speaking with zeal, Trivedi declared that India is racing ahead to meet bold goals under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has outlined five key pledges for India during the Amrit Kaal, the foremost being the goal of making India a fully developed nation by 2047," Trivedi announced. But the challenge? India must shake off the stubborn colonial mindset that still lingers and instead take pride in its glorious civilisational history.
"No nation—big or small—can progress if it remains dependent on others," he stressed. He painted a thrilling picture of India’s rise by pointing out that nearly 70% of the US's H-1B visas for highly skilled workers go to Indians. "Earlier, we feared that American companies would take away our jobs. Today, Americans fear that Indians may take theirs," Trivedi said with a wink.
He also referenced the military operation Operation Sindoor, highlighting how India’s use of indigenous defence tools like BrahMos rockets showed true self-reliance, unlike Pakistan, which depends fully on foreign weapons.
But self-reliance isn’t just about defence—it stretches across economics, energy, food, social confidence, and even ideas. Trivedi spotlighted reforms that have finally ended the forced use of English in competitive exams and introduced engineering and medical studies in multiple Indian languages.
The event was packed with BJP’s stars including Brij Bahadur, Anand Dwivedi, and Abhishek Khare. To cap it all off, Trivedi received an Atmanirbhar Bharat memento, sealing India’s ambitious and fiery march toward becoming an unstoppable, independent giant by 2047.
