Big news from Hyderabad! Telangana's State Government has launched a vibrant campaign to request the Central Government to approve a whopping 42% reservations for Backward Classes across education, jobs, and politics. This powerful move is gearing up for the upcoming winter session of Parliament, where the game will be played out. To make this happen, an important change in the Constitution's Ninth Schedule is needed. Telangana's MPs have been specially told to bring this matter into the spotlight during the winter session, either through an adjournment motion or while asking questions. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka passionately addressed the MPs, urging them, "The MPs should take it up in the prescribed format through an adjournment motion or during Question Hour." He called for unity, saying this fight goes beyond political lines. The Congress MPs were asked to come together and submit a joint representation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. If the Prime Minister agrees to meet, MPs should explain the situation personally. Vikramarka added, "Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was ready to lead a delegation from the State to brief him about the issue." This isn't just a hope — the government held a special SEEEPC survey to back the reservation demand. Using this survey’s results, the BC reservation Bill was introduced and passed unanimously in the State Assembly. Now, the bill is waiting for the Centre's green light. The Deputy Chief Minister also encouraged MPs from all parties to unite and appeal strongly to the PM and Union ministers for Telangana’s benefit. To help MPs, a special division in the national capital under the Planning Department is ready to deliver all the necessary facts and data during Parliament sessions. MPs can tap into this resource freely. Vikramarka pointed out that MPs wanting to ask questions or request action from Union ministers can get full support from State officials for data and petitions. Beyond reservations, they can follow up on funds due from the Centre in sectors like irrigation, power, and GST. Exciting plans are also underway for a big celebration on December 9. Union Ministers and MPs are invited, with committees formed to organize this event. MPs interested can join the coordination team to make the event sparkle. Before wrapping up, the meeting listed 47 burning issues connected to 12 ministries that Telangana MPs must raise during the winter session. It’s clear the State is roaring to take its voice to the heart of Indian politics! Stay tuned as Telangana gears up to make waves in the winter session!
