On Monday, December 8, 2025, a Delhi court extended the NIA custody of three doctors and a preacher by four days in the Red Fort blast case from November 10. The accused – Dr. Muzammil Ganai, Dr. Adeel Rather, Dr. Shaheena Saeed, and Maulvi Irfan Ahmed Wagay – appeared before Principal and Sessions Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna as their initial 10-day custody ended. The court proceedings were held under strict security at Patiala House district court. So far, the NIA has arrested seven people linked to the case. It is connected to a 'white-collar' terror module busted by Jammu and Kashmir Police. The NIA said it continues to track and search for others involved in the suicide bombing. The blast, caused by an explosives-laden i20 car outside the Red Fort, killed 15 people and injured many on November 10. Dr. Umar-un-Nabi was driving the car. Reports revealed that a terror module led by doctors had been searching for a suicide bomber since last year, with Umar as the alleged key planner.
