Two troubling cases hit Palnadu district over the weekend. First, 25-year-old Kandarapu Triveni and her seven-month-old son Sharath were found dead near Chilakaluripet after their two-wheeler went into the NSP canal late Friday night. Triveni's husband, Srikanth, said a Bolero forced him off the road, causing the crash. Triveni's body was recovered two kilometers downstream, but the baby was missing. Police find Srikanth’s story suspicious and have started an investigation. In another case near Narasaraopet, 55-year-old Orsu Parvathalu was beaten to death after a land dispute. His nephew Koteswararao was seriously injured. The clash arose over grass-cutting rights near Mulakaluru. Parvathalu, who moved earlier due to tensions in his village, was attacked with sticks and choppers. Police have named a farmer, Orsu Musalayya, and some villagers as suspects. District Superintendent of Police B. Krishna Rao told The Hindu, "Both cases are being investigated to determine the circumstances and reasons behind the deaths." The probe is ongoing.
