Cold Wave Alert in Telangana: Seven Districts Brace for Chilly Weather on December 10

Telangana is shivering as a cold wave grips the region. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a cold wave alert for seven districts on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. These districts are Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy.
Hyderabad and nearby areas will see partly cloudy skies with mist or haze in the mornings and nights. The IMD says the minimum temperature will be 2°C to 3°C below normal in the next three to four days. Expect highs near 30°C and lows around 13°C.
Data from Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS) shows 20 districts recorded temperatures below 10°C between December 8 and 9 morning. Tiryani in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad was coldest at 6.1°C. Nearby cold spots include Bheempoor at 6.3°C and Jharasangam at 6.4°C.
Other districts with chilly readings under 10°C include Mominpet (6.9°C), Ibrahimpatnam (7.6°C), Bibipet (7.9°C), Yeldurthy (8.1°C), Akbarpet (8.2°C), Pembi (8.3°C), Kotgiri (8.4°C), Gandeed (8.6°C), Rudrangi (8.7°C), Kosgi (8.9°C), Bheemaram (9.1°C), Mutharam Mahadevpur (9.3°C), Kotapally (9.5°C), Ramagiri (9.5°C), Kalwakurthy (9.6°C), Choppadandi (9.8°C), and Tadvai (9.9°C).
The remaining 13 districts had minimum temperatures between 10°C and 13°C. For example, Muduchinthalapally in Medchal Malkajgiri recorded 11°C and Maredpally in Hyderabad reported 11.6°C.
Residents are advised to stay warm as the cold wave continues.
