Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) faced two bomb threat emails on Monday and Tuesday, leading to increased security. The first email, on December 8, claimed a bomb was on a flight to the U.S. but gave no flight details. The sender demanded a ransom of US $1 million and warned of detonation if not paid. Airport authorities filed a police complaint. A second threat hit on Tuesday evening, also vague and about unspecified locations. Security teams followed procedures before calling it a hoax. Meanwhile, Panjagutta police investigate a separate hoax email on December 3, threatening bomb attacks on Lok Bhavan and Praja Bhavan in Khairatabad and Somajiguda. Over 25 officers and bomb disposal squads searched but found no explosives. The police confirmed the threat was fake and are working to find the sender.
