Flight disruptions continued at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. IndiGo cancelled 77 flights, including 40 arrivals and 37 departures. Since December 3, cancellations at RGIA have crossed 700.
Airport authorities said passengers affected by Wednesday’s cancellations were informed in advance. They added that operations stayed stable and passenger movement faced no disruption.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation sent officials to major airports on December 9 to check the situation. A ministry post on X said an official reviewed Hyderabad airport and found smooth passenger flow and good airline communications. It said stakeholders are focused on keeping service reliable.
IndiGo stated on December 9 that operations had improved steadily. The airline said it flew over 1,800 flights on December 8, serving all 138 stations, and planned nearly 1,900 flights December 10. They said on-time performance is back to normal. IndiGo also introduced an easy automated refund process on its website with a ‘No Questions Asked’ policy for cancellations.
Passengers voiced frustration on X. One, Subrata Paul, questioned the airline’s claim of normalized operations as his Hyderabad-Bengaluru flight was cancelled the day before. He travelled by bus instead and is still waiting for a full refund.
Another passenger said his planned Pune-Patna trip with a Hyderabad layover was disrupted when IndiGo cancelled the Hyderabad-Patna leg but operated the Pune-Hyderabad flight. He was stranded at Hyderabad and faced expensive alternatives.
These cancellations continue to challenge travelers despite efforts to stabilize services at Hyderabad airport.
