The Jnanabharathi police have arrested two men for cheating a man of ₹47 lakh by promising "Ayurvedic medicine" to cure his sexual issues. The accused, Vijay Pradhan Chitodiya, 42, and Manoj Singh Chitodiya, 29, both from Miraj, Maharashtra, are now in judicial custody. The victim from Whitefield, Bengaluru, had sought treatment after facing sexual problems for three years. He approached the accused at a tent in southwest Bengaluru’s Jnanabharathi. The police said the accused convinced him to buy their so-called medicine at ₹2 lakh per gram and collected ₹47 lakh. Soon after taking the medicine, the man developed health complications and filed a complaint. Police arrested the accused from Telangana's Mahbubnagar and Cyberabad. Further probes found the scammers ran similar tents in Karnataka and Telangana, selling poor-quality medicines. Searches at these tents uncovered 17 types of medicines worth ₹19.5 lakh. An FIR has been registered and investigations continue.
