The Hindu Hosts School Science Festival and Ramanujan Spark Quest in Hubballi on Dec 20

The Hindu is organizing the School Science Festival and Ramanujan Spark Quest (Maths and Science Olympiad) in Hubballi on December 20. The event will take place at Hebasur Bhavan on Gokul Road. It starts at 9 a.m. and is open to students from classes 6 to 10. Entry is free.
The School Science Festival is a competition for teams of two students. They must bring innovative and cost-effective working model projects based on the Make in India concept. All teams should reach the venue by 8:30 a.m. Winners will get cash prizes, trophies, and merit certificates. First and second runners-up will also be awarded. All participants receive certificates.
In the Ramanujan Spark Quest, each school can nominate five students from classes 6 to 10. The contest consists of 50 multiple-choice questions to be answered in one hour. There are 30 science questions covering physics, chemistry, and biology, and 20 questions on mathematics and mental ability. Correct answers earn four marks; wrong answers lose one mark. Ties will be decided by the mathematics/mental ability score.
Winners in the Ramanujan Spark Quest will receive cash prizes, trophies, and merit certificates. The first and second runners-up will also be rewarded. Participation certificates will be given to all.
