More than 2.5 lakh workers across Andhra Pradesh have registered under the Scheme for Promotion of Registration of Employers and Employees (SPREE-2025) launched by the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC). This scheme offers social security coverage to eligible workers. "The SPREE aims at enrolling the eligible workers in various establishments. About 2.5 lakh workers from 2,000 establishments have registered under SPREE. They are now eligible for various social security benefits," said ESIC State Regional Director Malla Rama Rao on Thursday. Businesses such as shops, theatres, restaurants, factories, educational institutions, hotels, and other agencies employing ten or more workers can register online. "There is no need of any old records for registration," Mr. Rama Rao added. He urged management and workers to register through Shram Suvidha, ESIC, or MCA portals before the December 31 deadline. The SPREE scheme provides economic and health protection through ESIC. For any queries, establishments and workers can call 0866-2453498.
