VTuber Ironmouse Faces Tense Moment Over Privacy Question at Streamer Awards
December 12, 2025
The Streamer Awards, usually a fun event for online creators, took a tense turn for VTuber Ironmouse this year. While appearing via her virtual avatar, members from Kai Cenat’s crew approached her friend holding the screen she appeared on. A short video of the encounter quickly spread online.
Ironmouse revealed the moment made her very uncomfortable. Before any questions were asked, she said she felt “shaking” and feared something “terrible” and “rude” was coming. When Ray asked what she looked like in real life, Ironmouse answered sarcastically, “I’m ugly. That’s why I’m a VTuber.”
She explained this was not a dig at VTubers but a way to shut down an invasive question. Critics accused her of mocking the community, but she defended herself, stating, “You have no idea what I went through in that moment.” She said if people ask “a stupid question” she gives “a stupid answer.”
Ironmouse also stressed she has kept her real identity private for years and wished that boundary was respected. The community’s reaction was mixed, with some calling her reaction an overreaction, while others said the streamers crossed a line.
