The Iron Scow, a 107-year-old wreck at Niagara Falls, has shifted downstream and is slowly breaking apart. This old barge has been stranded above the famous Horseshoe Falls since 1918. It became a powerful symbol after two men nearly plunged off the falls on it. In 2022, erosion broke the barge into several parts. Last month, the bow of the scow dislodged and moved further downstream. Jim Hill of Niagara Parks said the boat is now "slowly deteriorating." The wreck stands as a reminder of both the falls' history and its natural force. A video of the scow's current state was captured by Eloise Alanna.
