The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) on Monday allotted 282 returnable plots to farmers in Amaravati's capital region through an online lottery. The event took place at the APCRDA headquarters in Rayapudi. Farmers from villages such as Krishnayapalem, Nowlur, Velagapudi, and others who contributed land for Amaravati development received plots. Of the total, 167 plots are residential and 115 commercial, benefiting 177 farmers and landowners. The allotment used a transparent e-lottery system, tested by a trial run in front of farmers to ensure fairness. APCRDA Additional Commissioner A. Bhargava Teja handed out provisional certificates to the recipients. Special Grade Deputy Collector N.S.V.B. Vasantharayudu said, "GIS staff and village surveyors have been deployed to explain the exact geographical location of the allotted plots to farmers." He also encouraged beneficiaries to complete the registration promptly, assuring, "no registration fee would be charged."
