Kerala to Build Autism Complexes in All Districts with ₹2.75 Crore Each under STARS

Kerala's Education Minister V. Sivankutty announced that model autism complexes with modern facilities will be created in all 14 districts under the STARS scheme. Each autism complex will receive ₹2.75 crore for development. This plan aims to support special education across the state. The Minister also said the subject minimum will be introduced this year for Classes V to IX. It will be implemented in the SSLC exams in 2027. In a recent decision, the government extended Christmas vacations from nine to 12 days this year. Additionally, distribution of Braille textbooks for Plus Two higher secondary students has been completed. These steps show Kerala's commitment to inclusive education and student welfare, said the Minister during the press conference on Monday.
