Kadapa police arrested Bathalapalli Srinivas Reddy, 42, for making a derogatory video against politicians and their family members. The case started after a complaint from TDP leader Bojja Tirumalesh. Srinivas Reddy fled to Kuwait but was caught on return at Hyderabad airport on Monday. Police seized his passport and phone. He was sent to judicial remand. In a related case, police arrested 11 others accused of making and sharing offensive posts online with morphed images of Kadapa MLA Reddeppagari Madhavi Reddy. The complaint was filed by the MLA’s spouse R. Srinivasa Reddy. The arrested include people from Kadapa, Kurnool, Proddatur, and other towns. Kadapa SP Shelke Nachiket Vishwanath warned the public that posting derogatory or obscene content on social media could lead to jail time.
