Mysuru Palace Flower Show 2025 to Light Up December with Floral Art and Culture
December 17, 2025
The Mysuru Palace will host the Palace Flower Show–2025 from December 21 to December 31. The event promises visitors a vibrant mix of floriculture, art, culture, and heritage. It will open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and be inaugurated on December 21 at 4 p.m.
Visitors can see more than 25,000 ornamental flower pots with 35 varieties. Nearly four lakh cut flowers will be displayed, including roses, chrysanthemums, carnations, gerberas, orchids, anthuriums, lilies, and more. A grand highlight is a huge floral replica of the Sringeri Sharada Peetham, measuring around 50 feet wide, 16 feet deep, and 25 feet high.
Several floral installations will show mythological, cultural, and modern themes. Special features include floral portraits of Mysuru kings and historical figures, Krishna and Radha on a swing, and displays celebrating India’s sports achievements, especially women cricketers.
Children will enjoy creative floral designs of birds, animals, and cartoon characters. An image of environmentalist Saalumarada Thimmakka will be made with flowers and millets, honoring her tree-planting efforts. The Preamble of the Constitution will appear like a book decorated with flowers.
Both entry and exit gates will be beautifully decorated with flowers and eco-friendly materials. The palace will host classical instrumental music performances during visiting hours. From December 21 to 25, cultural programs will run between 5 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The palace itself will shine with evening illumination from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
On December 31, there will be a police band performance from 11 p.m. to midnight. It will end with a silent, eco-friendly fireworks show to welcome the New Year.
Inside the palace, visitors can explore a photo and video exhibition on Mysuru’s history, Dasara celebrations, and the Wadiyar dynasty. A special traditional bomme (doll) exhibition will also be part of the festivities.
This annual flower show has become a popular year-end event, attracting many tourists during Christmas and New Year holidays.
