Bangalore Metro Adds Bus Stops Near Yellow Line Stations for Better Commuter Access
December 17, 2025
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL) and Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) have shifted and added bus stops closer to the new Yellow Line metro stations. The change comes after commuters raised issues about long distances between bus stops and metro stations. The Yellow Line metro runs on the Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road to Delta Electronics Bommasandra corridor and started on August 11, 2025. Following joint inspections, officials relocated or set up new bus stops near several metro stations. New BMTC stops are now near Biocon Hebbagodi, Beratena Agrahara, Singasandra, Hongasandra, Central Silk Board, and R.V. Road. Bus stops at Electronics City, Hosa Road, and Ragigudda have been shifted closer to the metro for easier access. At stations like Jayadeva, BTM Layout, Bommanahalli, Kudlu Gate, and Infosys Foundation Konappana Agrahara, bus stops are already within 100 metres of the metro stations. However, officials said bus stops at Huskur Road and Delta Electronics Bommasandra could not be relocated due to space limits. These changes aim to make commuting seamless for passengers using both metro and bus services.
