UCIL Donates Drone Cameras to Boost Policing and Crime Control
December 17, 2025
Superintendent of Police Shelke Nachiket Vishwanath said police work will improve with new drone cameras. Two advanced drones donated by the Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL) will help control crime, stop anti-social acts, and manage traffic. The cameras, worth ₹3 lakh, came under UCIL's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. Mr. Nachiket said technology-driven policing is key to reducing crimes like chain snatching, eve-teasing, and thefts. Drones will also help prevent road accidents and monitor sensitive areas. "VIP security arrangements, traffic regulation at key junctions and surveillance in sensitive areas will also become more fool-proof with drone cameras," he added. UCIL's general manager Suman Sarkar handed the drones to Deputy Superintendent B. Murali for use in the Pulivendula area.
