Dubai Police have introduced a new fully automated digital service for vehicle owners affected by weather damage. Motorists can now apply online for a 'To Whom It May Concern' certificate that verifies damage caused by rain, floods, or storms. Earlier, drivers had to tow their vehicles to a police station for an inspection. Now, they just visit the Dubai Police website, upload photos of the damaged vehicle, pay a fee of AED 95, and receive the certificate electronically within one to two business days. Brigadier Mansour Al Qargaoui, Director of the General Department for Administrative Affairs at Dubai Police, said the new process shows their commitment to smarter and faster public services amid increasing extreme weather events in the UAE. The recent heavy rains and storms have caused water leakage, engine troubles, and electronics failure in many vehicles. Dubai Police have also been issuing weather safety warnings, advising drivers to reduce speed and avoid flooded areas. This digital certificate service helps drivers get official proof of damage quickly, easing the insurance claim process and eliminating long waits at police stations. For help, motorists can call Dubai Police hotline 901. Alongside this, authorities continue to remind people to stay safe during bad weather and avoid risky travel. The new online certificate is a timely solution for UAE drivers dealing with nature’s fury on the roads.
