Minister for Public Works E.V. Velu inspected preparations for Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's upcoming visit to Kallakurichi district. The visit is scheduled for the last week of this month. Velu, along with Collector M.S. Prasanth, checked the venue near Veeracholapuram on the Salem-Chennai national highway. Here, the integrated Collectorate complex built at a cost of ₹139.41 crore will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister. Alongside this, CM Stalin will unveil several new projects. Mr. Velu also met officials from various departments to discuss the welfare schemes set to be launched during the visit. The Minister reviewed the arrangements and the list of beneficiaries for these schemes. The administration said the foundation stones for new projects will also be laid during the event.
