A crash involving three cars on the PVNR Expressway near pillar number 253 caused heavy traffic on Saturday, December 20, 2025. Traffic was congested from Upparpally to Aramgarh in the Rajendranagar area. According to Rajendranagar traffic police, a car speeding from Warangal to Mehdipatnam hit the road divider first. Then, a car behind it crashed into the damaged vehicle. Another car from the opposite side collided head-on, creating a pile-up on the two-lane elevated road. Drivers injured in the accident were taken to a nearby hospital and are in stable condition. A traffic police official said, "As the expressway has just two lanes and due to frequent over speeding by drivers, accidents are being reported regularly on this stretch." This is not the first accident this week on PVNR Expressway. Earlier on Wednesday, a car hit a road divider near pillar 123. On Monday night, a three-car crash near pillar 112 happened after a hatchback broke down in a no-parking zone. Attempts to move that vehicle led to a crash involving three cars, injuring two men lightly, who were treated on site.
