Rajasthan experienced a slight rise in night temperatures after several days of intense cold, said the weather office. Most places recorded temperatures below 10°C, but some showed warming. Fatehpur in Sikar recorded 8.9°C, up from 5.4°C on Friday, December 19. Sikar's low was 9°C, higher than 5.8°C previously. Churu reached 9.2°C, up from 7.6°C. Chittorgarh's night temperature was 7.8°C, while Pilani in Jhunjhunu recorded 9°C. Sirohi stood at 9.1°C, and Anta in Baran reached 9.8°C. Jaipur, the state capital, saw a low of 12.8°C, up by 2 degrees from the previous night. The rise is linked to a western disturbance. However, the meteorological department warned temperatures will drop by 2-3 degrees from December 24 due to cold northerly winds. Dense fog is likely over northern and western regions of Rajasthan on December 23 and 24.
