The long-running TLC show, My Strange Addiction, returns this January with jaw-dropping stories. One standout case is Kathryn from Virginia. Kathryn no longer chews food. Instead, she blends all her meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—and snorts the liquid through her nose. She says it started as a college dare and became a daily routine. The show calls her a “serial food snorter.”
In the new season’s trailer, Kathryn prepares her meals this way and talks about telling her new boyfriend, Alex, about the habit. Viewers also see Alex’s reaction as she confesses on camera. The strange practice shocked many online. One viewer wrote, “Snorting all of her food?! What the f***?” Others wondered why this happens and worried about the health risks. Comments like “Half of them are gonna die if they keep it up” and “I wanted to throw up” appeared.
The premiere episode also shows Wendy from Florida, who eats raw meat every day. At a family barbecue, her fiancé’s relatives react with discomfort and concern. “I’m about to throw up,” one says. Another adds, “It’s a little hard to accept someone who eats raw meat.” Wendy asks for understanding but faces resistance.
Other episodes include Anthony who eats make-up products, Carlos who consumes live bugs, Sarah who has a relationship with an AI chatbot, Kaylyn who eats grass to handle grief, Socratis who keeps over 100 snakes while living with PTSD, and Tajah who suffers thumb-sucking damage affecting her love life.
TLC’s senior executive commented on the new season: “My Strange Addiction has built a passionate fan base that never stopped talking about it, sharing the most viral moments, and asking when we’d bring it back. The new season delivers everything people love about the series. It’s bold, surprising, and completely unforgettable.”
My Strange Addiction’s new season premieres in January.
