British Airways Flight from London to Hyderabad Receives Bomb Threat, Lands Safely

A British Airways flight from London’s Heathrow Airport to Hyderabad received a bomb threat on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. The airline and airport security promptly followed safety protocols. The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, operating as flight BA 277, left Heathrow around 3 p.m. local time and landed at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at 5:31 a.m. While the flight was on route, Hyderabad airport received the bomb threat through an email. An airport official said, “After following all the required protocols, the aircraft landed safely in Hyderabad on Tuesday morning.” There was no disruption to passenger safety during the landing or at the airport. After thorough security checks and necessary clearances, the same plane departed Hyderabad at about 7 a.m. and headed back to Heathrow. Officials confirmed the flight is currently en route to London.
