December 23, 2025
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), along with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and Ministry of Home Affairs, brought back Ritik Bajaj from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Ritik Bajaj is wanted in a drug smuggling case. Delhi Police asked for his arrest and the CBI issued an Interpol Red Notice against him on October 9, 2025.
The CBI first worked with the Interpol National Central Bureau (NCB) in Bangkok to track Bajaj's movement. They found he had traveled to the UAE. Then, they contacted the NCB in Abu Dhabi to pinpoint his location.
A Delhi Police team flew to the UAE to arrest Ritik Bajaj and brought him back to India on December 23. "A team of the Delhi Police visited the UAE to bring back the subject, and arrived in India with him on Tuesday (December 23)," the CBI said.
This successful operation adds to more than 150 wanted criminals brought back to India in recent years through the CBI's coordination with Interpol channels.
