The 13th edition of the Sargaalaya International Arts and Crafts Festival began on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Visitors were welcomed by eye-catching installations like a huge country boat and a newspaper display of handicrafts. A tin sculpture of a labourer couple and a selfie point with an Aranmula metal mirror drew attention too. The festival features 100 stalls with products from 15 countries and many Indian states. Highlights include a flower show, tourism talk show, and tourism expo. Students from the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Kannur, present a special handloom theme stall. There is also a handloom fashion contest. Tourism Minister P.A. Mohamed Riyas will officially open the festival on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at 6 p.m. The event will run until January 11, 2026, inviting visitors to enjoy arts, crafts, and culture from near and far.
