The UAE’s floating hospital off Egypt’s Al-Arish port has welcomed its fifth group of medical experts from Indonesia. These new doctors and nurses bring key skills in orthopedics, general surgery, anesthesia, internal medicine, and radiology. This hospital is part of Operation Gallant Knight 3, the UAE's major mission to help Palestinians injured in the Gaza conflict. Anchored at sea, it is a full medical facility offering 100 beds, operating rooms, intensive care units, radiology, labs, and rehab services. Since it opened on February 23, 2024, the floating hospital has performed over 5,200 surgeries, given more than 6,500 physiotherapy sessions, and fitted 26 prosthetic limbs. It also provides social and psychological support, including programs for children. The latest Indonesian team strengthens cooperation between the UAE and Indonesia. Working side by side, they expand the hospital’s ability to treat complex cases and save lives. The floating hospital alone has provided more than 12,000 medical services to Gaza patients. Across all UAE efforts in 2025, over 75,000 patients have been helped through field hospitals, mobile clinics, evacuations, and aid deliveries. Thousands of aid convoys with medical supplies, food, and essentials have also reached Gaza by land, air, and sea. Operation Gallant Knight 3 shows how the UAE uses leadership and innovation to deliver top medical care in tough crisis zones. The partnership with Indonesian doctors adds a global spirit of teamwork, giving many Gazans fresh hope and a better chance to heal.
