As they gear up for the World Beach Ultimate Championships in Portugal, players from cities like Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai unite for intense practice under coach Smithi Manickam's guidance. The team, featuring players aged 30 to 50, is set to make history as India's first all-women team in the Masters category at an international tournament. With diverse backgrounds and unwavering dedication, these women exemplify strength and passion for Ultimate Frisbee. Priya Thineshan, the team's oldest member at 49, discovered the sport at 42 and emphasizes the support she receives from her family. Nimisha Vasava, a showroom manager from Ahmedabad, and Gayathrie Shankar, an actor, express pride in the progression of women's participation in the sport. Sreelata Jonnalagedda, a professor at IIM-Bengaluru, highlights the sport's versatility and the camaraderie within the team.
