Four people died, and two others were seriously injured in a head-on crash early Friday in Allagadda mandal. The accident happened around 3 a.m. when an SUV was traveling from Tirupati to Hyderabad. The SUV driver lost control, crossed the road divider, and hit a private bus going from Hyderabad to Pondicherry. Police said the four victims in the SUV died on the spot. Two injured passengers were rushed to the hospital. All six were from Nizampet in Hyderabad and had been with Shiva Svamis on a pilgrimage. They were cooking and accompanying them before returning home. All bus passengers are safe and moved to another vehicle after their bus was damaged. Roads and Buildings Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy expressed shock over the deaths and urged officials to ensure the best care for the injured.
