Three Arrested for Alleged Gang Rape of Female IT Manager in Udaipur After CEO's Party

Three people were arrested for the alleged gang rape of a female manager in Udaipur, Rajasthan, after a birthday party. The CEO of the private IT firm, Jitesh Sisodia, had hosted the party on his birthday last Saturday. The female manager was a guest. The other accused are a female executive head of the company and her husband, Gaurav Sirohi from Meerut.
The police arrested all three on Thursday and sent them to court. The court then gave a four-day police custody order. Udaipur Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal said the case was registered at Sukher police station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
According to the victim's complaint, she was left alone as guests left after the party. The female executive head offered to drop her home. The woman got into her car, where Sisodia and Sirohi were also present. On the way, they bought what looked like cigarettes and gave them to the woman. She lost consciousness after consuming them.
The woman woke up the next day and realised she was sexually assaulted. Police registered the case, detained the accused, and arrested them after questioning. The woman underwent a medical examination, and her statement was recorded. The case is now handled by Additional Superintendent of Police Madhuri Verma.
