Dubai is gearing up to celebrate New Year’s Eve 2026 with a sparkling show of 48 fireworks displays across 40 locations. This number beats last year’s 36 shows, promising a night full of wow moments. From the Burj Khalifa to Palm Jumeirah and Expo City Dubai, fireworks will light up the sky everywhere. Authorities have spread out the shows to keep crowds safe while giving everyone a great view. Dubai Police and private agencies will deploy over 23,000 security staff, including 9,884 police officers. "This is the most comprehensive New Year’s Eve operation in Dubai’s history," officials said. The city will run 1,625 security patrols plus bicycle, mounted, and marine units to cover every corner. On transport, the Roads and Transport Authority has 14,000 taxis, 1,300 buses, and 107 metro trains ready, managed by 5,565 staff to move millions smoothly. Medical teams are on high alert with 236 ambulances, 635 paramedics, and 1,900 medical staff at 12 hospitals and clinics. Officials asked everyone to follow safety instructions and use public transport.
