A fire broke out in an air conditioner unit at a house in Sundar Nagar, Kacheguda, on Friday evening, leading to the death of a two-year-old boy. Fire control officials received a call at 4.55 p.m. and rushed to the scene. By the time they controlled the flames, the child was found dead. Preliminary reports say the air conditioner caught fire, producing thick smoke. The boy was inside the room and is believed to have suffocated from inhaling the smoke, losing consciousness before the fire was put out. Family members took him to a nearby private hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The Kacheguda police have registered a case and are investigating to find the exact cause of the fire.
