The Parappana Agarahara police have registered a case against a 33-year-old undertrial prisoner (UTP) for creating a ruckus and threatening the prison superintendent and his team during routine inspections. The complaint was filed by Paramesh H.A., a prison official. During a surprise inspection at the prison hospital section, the UTP, Lokonab Lodja Emmanuel, initially handed over a mobile phone with SIM card but erupted in chaos when officials began frisking him. He shouted, verbally abused the staff, and threatened to file complaints with the court and human rights commission. Police said Emmanuel is a habitual offender known for causing trouble inside the prison and instigating inmates against staff. Previously, during separate inspections, officials found six mobile phones hidden in sewage pipes, under beds, and inside dustbins in barrack 9 and 1 of tower 1.
