A 74-year-old woman found injured near gate number 2 of Secunderabad Railway Station on November 11 died on December 27 at Gandhi Hospital. The woman was identified as Poonuru Vijayalakshmi, a homemaker from Fatehnagar, Sanathnagar. After she was found hurt, railway authorities alerted the Government Railway Police. Vijayalakshmi was rushed to Gandhi Hospital for treatment but succumbed at around 3 pm on December 27. Hospital officials informed the police of her death. The body is kept in the hospital mortuary for postmortem examination. Authorities have contacted her relatives. If no one claims the body, it will be handed over to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation after formalities are completed.
