Honey Turns Sour as Beehives in Karnataka Come Under Attack

July 19, 2025

Beekeepers in Karnataka are grappling with a concerning new challenge as small hive beetles invade beehives, causing significant damage to bee colonies and disrupting honey production. This phenomenon has led to empty hives, decreased honey yields, and substantial financial setbacks for beekeepers engaged in apiculture across Karnataka.
