A tragic cylinder explosion at the Seven Hills Sai Co-Living PG near Kundalahalli in Bengaluru has claimed the life of a techie and injured three others. The HAL police filed an FIR against the building owner Vishnu and manager Roja, citing culpable homicide not amounting to murder. The accident happened around 6:15 pm in the G+6 building with 43 rooms. Fire and thick smoke erupted after a commercial gas cylinder exploded. Aravind (23), a senior analyst from Ballari, died in the blast. Three injured victims are Venkatesh (28) from Andhra Pradesh, Vishal Verma (23), and C V Goel (25), both from Uttarakhand. Police said a gas leak was detected around 2 pm but was ignored. The building lacked proper ventilation. Two commercial and one domestic cylinders were found at the site. The accused have been taken into custody for further investigation.
