Kerala Police arrested a 25-year-old man named Roshidul Islam from Assam on Tuesday. He was caught inside Kaipamangalam police limits of Thrissur district for allegedly spreading extremist ideas through social media. Islam lived in the area for nearly two years and worked in a private firm. Police said he shared posts promoting religious hatred and showed a leaning towards terrorism. Investigators found he was in contact with people outside India, including Bangladesh, via phone calls and social media. Based on early investigation, he also tried to get AK-47 rifles from Pakistan. Officials said further investigation is ongoing.
