The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) launched the upgraded Sarige Mitra Human Resource Management System (HRMS) Mobile App, Version 2.0, on January 1, 2025. This move promotes digital governance and supports employee-focused reforms. Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy led the app launch as a New Year initiative. According to KSRTC, the app improves transparency and operational efficiency within the corporation. It allows employees to access HR services quickly via their smartphones. Key features include a geo-fencing-based attendance system and monthly attendance tracking. Employees can view their profiles, service registers, family and nominee details, and download monthly payslips with just one click. The app’s leave management tool helps users easily check their leave balances. Mr. Reddy said, "In addition, the upgraded version strengthens internal communication by providing instant access to official notifications, circulars and departmental updates, ensuring timely dissemination of information across the organisation." This ensures better communication and faster updates within KSRTC. The new Sarige Mitra app marks a big step for KSRTC towards modern and employee-friendly digital services.
