The sale of Tirumala Laddu prasadam reached a record high in 2025. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) reported a 10% increase from the previous year. In 2024, 12.15 crore laddus were sold. This rose to 13.52 crore in 2025, adding 1.37 crore laddus. A historic day was December 27, 2025. Devotees bought 5.13 lakh laddus that day. TTD called it the highest single-day sale in the past 10 years. To meet demand, TTD increased daily laddu production to 4 lakh. On peak and special days, production scales up. A stock of 8 to 10 lakh laddus is kept ready for uninterrupted supply. Around 700 Sri Vaishnava Brahmins work in two shifts in the temple kitchen. They prepare laddus, following strict religious rules and the traditional 'dittam'. TTD officials said devotees recently praised the laddu’s improved and consistent quality.
